Concentration: Labor and Employment Law

Ms. Crumpacker practices labor and employment law exclusively. Her practice has involved the representation of employers, both in civil litigation and in the role of an advisor offering preventative advice to a wide variety of clients regarding all of their labor issues. Ms. Crumpacker has litigated extensively before state and federal courts and has represented her clients before the California Department of Fair employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Employment Development Department, the Unemployment Insurance Commission, the California Labor Commission, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor and OSHA.

In both the large and small firm contexts, Ms. Crumpacker has represented many employers in a variety of different industries. She is experienced in the entertainment, real estate, financial institutions, manufacturing, distribution and retail sectors, and has represented employers in the medical, legal and other professional service sectors.

Ms. Crumpacker has developed a subspecialty in the areas or discrimination and harassment. She has conducted many investigations of complaints of sexual harassment and all forms of discrimination, especially disability discrimination. She has successfully resolved such complaints either through litigation or by settlement. She has also trained regularly and lectured on these topics for both her clients and in educational seminars open to the public.

Professional Affiliations/Activities:

Ms. Crumpacker has been a Contributing Editor of the CEB California Business Law Reporter and has written for the Los Angeles Daily Business Journal and many trade publications. She is a regular guest contributor to the "Shop Talk" and Work Place column in the Business Section of The Los Angeles Times. She is a member of the Labor Sections of the Los Angeles County, California and American Bar Associations.

Education:

Ms. Crumpacker is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (B.S. 1977); and the UCLA School of Law (J.D. 1981).
